Statement of beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. IITimothy 3:16-17—- “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for for

teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the people of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

 

We believe that there is one True God, existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

 

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His personal return in glory and power.

 

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, enlightens and empowers believers for godly living. It is the Holy Spirit who enables us to live a holy life and empowers us to minister supernaturally.

 

We believe that man was created in God’s image in order to have relationship. Through God’s great love we were given freedom of choice. Through that choice sin entered the world which causes separation from God.

 

We believe only salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, brings us back into alignment and relationship with God. This means believing in who Jesus is and choosing to exchange sin, sorrow, hurt, and death for His righteousness, joy, peace, healing, and life, accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Ephesians 2:8-9— “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” II Corinthians 5:21— “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:9— “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is LORD,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

 

We believe in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We encourage their receipt and practice.We will gladly assist in the development and strengthening of these gifts.

Romans 12:6-8— “We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage, if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”

 

We believe every individual is gifted and valuable. Everyone has something to offer the body of Christ. This is in fact what constitutes ‘a body’, everybody participating according to their gifts and talents, no matter how big or small.

I Corinthians 12:27— “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

 

We believe there is a wonderfully diverse world that requires diverse talents, personalities and social structures in order for the world to be reached adequately.

 

We believe in the True identity of who God says you are and who you are called to be. You were created for such a time as this. God has amazing plans for you!

 

We are to be as our Father God— build and prosper in everything we say and to which we put our hands.

Matthew 10:7-8— “As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of Heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” John 5:19-20— “...whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. Yes, to your amazement, He will show you even greater things.”
